so we met this great lady and we sat on the floor in her tv free house and learned of mandals and dissapearing tribes in colombia and ate orange slices and raisons. and we talked of life and freedom and the liberty that comes for knowing god is there.

And she thinks that shai - a gift- is the most perfect name for me. and she cried when she told us that all she wants is a happy family. and i love her with everything that i can muster from the bottom of my soul. she is so real but not the fake kind of i try to be a cool earthy chick and quote gandi all the time but real.

oh yeah. i'm styaing in marseille. i'm excited. i'm accepted to school. even more excited. we are going to baptise this transfer. the excitement continues.

we had a pancake party for all the departing missionaries. a companionship got swept out. and everyone was impressed that americans eat fried dough with sugarwater pored on top for a real meal. they all thought that it was desert. and i assured them that no in all actuality we eat it in the morning for breakfast. gosh i love america.

we also passed the french national fet. we spent it planning and running around trying to find people to teach. and we at lunch with a ralean dude. raleans are people that believe that aliens are the supreme beings and have created us. all eternity can be understand through science. it was a really interesting conversation.

satuday we had a picnic with a ukranian student, an arab old guy, a rowandan convert to the chuch, a french mother of three and her breadmaking boyfriend. it was such a fun picnic.

and then we were contacted by a runaway soldier from chechnia. it's so weird how the mission brings the best people into your life. i feel really blessed.

something lydie taught me is that sometimes we just have to be.
