scatter sunshine...

scatter sunshine
all along the way
cheer and bless and brighten
every passing day

ok so it's a pretty dumb hymn especially when you hear the music but honestly, some days you just feel like that right? For three weeks we had rain and rain and rain. We were so cold and wet and tired of trying to spread the gospel of jesus christ from under an umbrella. I actually have no idea where my umbrella is so i was under 1/2 of my companions umbrella. and by the end of the night we would get tired of hunching and just forfiet the umbrella all together. so we looked like to wet stringy haird little girls in dresses. oh wait, we were. And today sunshine. glorious sunshine.

why you ask? well a great question.

first. Monica. Monica the miracle. Monica was baptised on saturday. And she was glowing on saturday. There was honestly a physical change that happend in here eyes. I didn't see it instantly but looking back i remember. it was amazing. And Mirable too...now beautifuly set apart members of the chruch of jesus christ.

second. we sang in church and old ladies cried. it was pretty cool.

third. Galina, in a surprise lesson on chastity told us that she wants to get baptised. nice.

fourth. The beautiful albanian family received their papers and their status of legality. they can build a life here. they want to build a life here. and in a year i will come back to see them sealed for time and all eternity. and be able to talk to their kids in their own language. my goal is now to leard albanian. i'm working on it during my lunch breaks. i'm not soo good yet. but hey i can conguagte some verbs.

fifth. the best companion ever and i are staying together for another six weeks of fun in bordeaux. what the blessing. she is so great!

ummm...and so many many many more things that just make life worth smiling about. crepes. kababos. penutbutter. yummm....

and then the blessings beyond the food. it's a wonderful thing to wake up smiling even when there is three weeks of rain. enchaladas help.

love

Shai

it seems like these blogs get shorter and shorter. somehow time gets faster and faster. my first day in the mtc someone told me that the mission is like a popsicle. the first part is the hardest and the second part goes the fastest. rediculous. but oh so true.
